Where we meet can shape what becomes available.
Whether we meet from the familiarity of your own home, in a quiet practice space in Shorncliffe, beneath the trees beside Cabbage Tree Creek, or in a space shared with animals, the environment becomes part of the work. Each can offer somewhere for attention to rest, something beyond words to notice, and its own possibilities for connection and regulation.
Each setting offers something of its own. These environments can support attention, connection and regulation while we undertake the work together. We can begin wherever you feel most comfortable—or wherever quietly draws your curiosity.
Online Counselling
Online Appointments Available
Online counselling for adults across Australia.
Online counselling allows you to meet from your own surroundings. You might settle into the chair you naturally choose, have a pet nearby, wrap yourself in a blanket or move around when you need to. The things that already help you feel comfortable and steady can remain within reach.
There is room to talk, pause, draw, move, notice what is happening in your body—or follow whatever begins to emerge. For some people, meeting from home also makes counselling more accessible when energy, sensory needs, mobility, travel or the unfamiliarity of a new environment might otherwise make beginning harder.
Counselling in Shorncliffe
In-person appointments available
In-person counselling is available from a private practice space in Shorncliffe. The counselling room opens directly onto a covered veranda, and sessions can take place in either space or move between them as the work unfolds.
The room offers privacy and quiet, while the veranda brings fresh air, gentle movement and connection with the surrounding environment. Both form part of the practice. Wherever we meet, the work remains grounded, purposeful and shaped by what we are exploring together.
Full address and arrival details will be provided during the booking process.
Waterfront Counselling
Appointments available at Cabbage Tree Creek, Shorncliffe
Waterfront sessions take place beneath the large trees beside Cabbage Tree Creek.
The movement of water, shifting light, breeze and sounds around us become part of the environment in which we meet. They offer somewhere for attention to rest and something beyond words to notice. At times, the natural rhythm of the creek can make it easier to slow down, orient to the present or remain alongside an experience without needing to rush towards an answer.
The setting supports the counselling rather than directing it. The work remains relational, flexible and responsive to what you bring.
Waitlist Open
Murphy is currently continuing his training, with Therapy Dog sessions planned for the future.
His presence is not intended to make something happen or to ask anything particular of you. He may rest nearby, move through the space or offer warmth, closeness and the reassurance of touch when that is welcomed. Sometimes simply sharing the space with a calm, responsive animal can bring another quality to the environment.
Murphy remains free to be himself, just as you are free to engage with him—or not. His presence may support the work we undertake together, but it does not replace the counselling relationship or require you to experience the session in any particular way.
Therapy Dog Sessions
Equine Assisted Therapy
Waitlist Open - Tallebudgera Valley, Gold Coast
Equine Assisted Therapy sessions take place at the Therapy Pod in Tallebudgera Valley on the Gold Coast. We meet on the veranda overlooking the horse paddock. We do not halter, lead, ride, groom or direct the horses. They remain free within their own environment while we work from the space beside them.
The horses may move closer or further away, respond to one another, or notice changes within an environment that also includes us. At times, something in their movement or relationships may feel familiar—or draw our attention towards something not yet known.
We do not interpret their behaviour or decide what it means. Instead, we simply remain curious about what you noticed, what it evokes, and whether it connects with anything in your own experience. More than anything, the horses bring another living rhythm and responsive presence to the setting, supporting the work without being used as a tool for it.
